This page’s purpose is to explain how can you join or have your organization join along with information to contact at SWFFD.
How do I join?
You can join by email us. You can either join as free agent or as team. Contact SWFFD for more info, email@swffd.org.
How do I have my team participate in future any future Deaf tournaments?
It is easy! Just contact us and give us your organization’s name, address, contact person and organization’s website (if any). We will add you to the coach e-mail list. Our email address is email@swffd.org.
Do our organization required to be member of any other organization in order to qualify?
No! You can even call your team anything you want. You can just set up a team and pay the fee and you are in!
Do women teams exist?
Yes! The most popular format is 4×4 as it requires less players to organize a team. However, we still strive to provide equal opportunity to each and every athlete who want to compete in flag football.
Can teams from outside SouthWest regional participate?
Yes. Follow same procedure as above about participating.
Where can I get fans information?
You can contact the local host city for tournament and fan information. We encourage fans to cheer for their teams in our annaul SWFFD tournament. We believe in making the tournament weekend affordable for the fans and you will find it to be a great value! SWFFD website has the latest information. Check back often!
What kind of playing rules do SWFFD apply?
We use United States Flag and Touch League’s playing rules. For more information, visit our Rules Link. Our advice is to get a copy today!
What is difference between SWFFD and USFFD?
SouthWest Flag Football for the Deaf is to focus on SouthWest regional, but any Deaf/HoH teams can partipate SWFFD tournament. United States Flag Football for the Deaf (USFFD) is National Level Flag Football Tournament for the Deaf/HoH. SWFFD is good start for every teams to get ‘training camp’ before USFFD tournament.
